It took 180years to complete this cathedral

Rose Window in Notre Dame Paris. Construction of this and many other Gothic cathedrals began in the 12th century (1163) in what they call the medieval warm period. Considering the size of the project and the huge technical difficulties involved in building this with stone, it's truly an amazing feat of engineering. It took 180 years to complete.
