This Is What A $31-Million Wedding Looks Like

The cost of getting married has never been higher, with the typical wedding setting a couple back tens of thousands of dollars.

But if you’re one of the world’s richest celebrities, money ain’t no thang—especially when it comes to your “special day.”

Chinese actress, singer and model Angela Yeung (better known by her stage name, Angelababy), married her actor love, Huang Xiaming, in an over-the-top, absurdly extravagant wedding ceremony that cost a whopping $31 million.

Compare that to Kim and Kanye’s famous nuptials, which set them back a cool $12 million or even Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Royal Wedding, a.k.a, the wedding of the century, which cost $34 million.

According to Forbes, Angelababy, who is often referred to as the “Kim Kardashian of China,” wore a custom Christian Dior gown that took five months to create and featured “15 feet of ivory satin organza, 165 feet of tulle, a 10-foot-long train and nearly a hundred hand-cut rose bouquets made of Chantilly lace.”

Of course, just one designer wedding gown simple won’t do, so Angelababy also splurged on another, Elie Saab creation for a pre-wedding photo shoot in front of the Eiffel tower.

Her five-carat, pear-shaped diamond ring was designed by Chaumet and clocked in at $1.5 million.
