Tragedy struck on Saturday when a portion of a three-storey building, which is under construction on Sapele road, in Benin, the Edo State capital, collapsed, killing one person and injuring three others.
Punch correspondent learnt that the victims were pouring concrete on a cantilever projection on the third floor, when the formwork caved in.
It was learnt that they were hired by a contractor to do the two-day job at N3,000 per day.
It gathered that the deceased, identified as Mike, sustained a deep cut in the chest, when he and his colleagues fell from the third floor to the ground.
